SPECIAL PROJECTS
These special projects, significant in scale and creative direction, were developed with teams I led as an acting interim leader or as independent artist, curator or producer since 2019. These intiatives brought artists, experts, and organizations together to realize creative and mission driven work for a wide range of audiences.
Speculating on Pluralities (2025)
As interim executive director at Eyebeam, I led the creative direction and partnership development of Eyebeam’s annual program series including public artist conversations with Secret Riso Club and a residency for emerging artists in partenrship with NYU.
The Meaning of Making (2024)
I was invited as a teaching artist and led a 5-day session exploring the meaning manifested through acts of making in our lives - rituals, food, relationships and objects. I taught this at Pocoapoco, an artist residency in Oaxaca, MX.
Common Field: Learnings for the Future (2022-2023)I developed, curated and produces this podcast and writing series exploring the history of the artist-centered field of practice, including Common Field’s organizational journey and the work that is shaping the future today. This four-part series pairs podcast episodes with commissioned essays around four themes: Foundations, Common Field in Practice, Community Building is Culture, and Sustainability for the Future.
Progressive Diasporas (2022)Co-curated with Anna Harsanyi, Progressive Diasporas is a project exploring the experiences and intersections of immigrant diasporas through a set of collaboratively developed, cumulative experiences and events. The first iteration welcomed artists Umber Majeed and collective Adobo-Fish-Sauce (Ricky Orng and Febo Anthony) to explore the experience of diasporas through the development of ongoing and new work with others.
Reimagine Power: An Audit of Common Field (2021)As part of my interim leadership role at Common Field, I led the completion of an organizational audit conducted by consultants Shana Turner and S. Mandisa Moore - O’Neal. The audit reviewed the organization’s internal, financial, and managment practices to assess power dynamics and value alignment (or misalignment) in practice.

TO COMMUNE: 69th Flaherty Film Seminar (2024)
As interim executive director, I led the planning and production of the organization’s first international seminar in over 20 years in Salaya, Thailand - working with partners, curators and artists from around the world. In partnerhip with UnionDocs (Brooklyn), the program was also presented virtually to a global audience with organized viewing gatherings in 15 countries. The Seminar Fellowship program increased by 30% with new partnerships in Cambodia, Thailand, Australia and England.
Latinx New York Research Report (2024) The Clemente
Working with a team, I developed and delivered this research report for The Clemente to support the development and assessment of their onoing Historias program series.
STO TE NEMA (2020) Working with artist Aida Sehovic and her team, I supported the fundraising and development of the 20th iteration of STO TE NEMA monument as a producer.
Public Ambassadors at Times Square (2019) In conjunction with the presentation of “Rumors of War”, Kehinde Wiley’s monumental sculpture, I collaborated with teams across Times Square Alliance (TSQ) to develop and implement a Public Art Ambassador program. Comprised of educators, artists and TSQ Public Service & Sanitation officers, this team was trained to faciliate audience engagement in Times Square around the sculpture. Ambassadors collectively spoke 6 languages and were equiped with ipads as visual aids to connect with audiences of all ages.
