January 2026

As a new year begins, I first want to share my gratitude for the many people, places and projects that have made my transition back to Brooklyn so warm and welcoming! It’s good to be home.

I ended the year wrapping up my time at Eyebeam as Interim Executive Director with great appreciation for the team (board and staff) and work we accomplished together. I hope you will continue to follow Eyebeam’s journey as there are surely exciting things ahead this year. What an honor to be a small part of supporting the work of an organization that has transformed what’s possible for so many artists over 25 years!  

Following this intense work last year,  I am welcoming smaller project-based work for 2026 and a hope to return to teaching as well. From public programs and project production to short-term planning or initiative development, as well as seminars, facilitation, classes or workshops,  I am looking forward to bringing some new ideas to life and my pedagogical practice back this year.  I’d love to talk about new possibilities for Spring and onwards!

This year, I am also looking forward to continuing my work with Grounds for Sculpture, advising artists supported by Creative Capital and the Joan Mitchell Foundation  and returning to Wassaic Project as a Critic-in-Residence in March for 3 weeks.

Finally, I’d also like to give a shout out to some of the incredible artists I have had the pleasure of connecting with in 2025 - through studio visits, programs, professional development or residencies. Thank you all for sharing your practice, trust and care with me, Yanira Castro, Miatta Kawinzi, Janelle VanderKelen, Sam Lavigne, Tega Brain, Bahareh Khoshooee, Xin Xin, Ari Melenciano, Darcel Deneau, Edwige Charlot, Francisco Donoso, Mariana Ramos Ortiz, Edward Steffanni, Sergio Suárez, Heather Renée Russ, Adrian Fleur, Tyson Houseman, Russna Kaur, Theresa-Xuan Bui, Jen Karetnick, Katrina Majkut, Dane Cohen, Dani Klebes, Will Hutnick, Princess Pea, among others… Lucky me :)
